Safety Spotlight March
Vaping is dangerous and strictly prohibited on school campuses, at school-sponsored activities, and under school supervision, per Education Code 48900 and 48901. Students found violating this policy may face disciplinary action, including suspension or expulsion. Vaping poses serious health risks, including nicotine addiction, increased anxiety and depression, lung damage, and impaired brain development, which can affect learning, memory, and impulse control. It also increases the likelihood of using other tobacco products and exposes users to harmful toxins. Additionally, vaping can harm athletic performance by causing lung inflammation. Since the long-term effects of vaping are still unknown, it is crucial for parents to discuss these dangers with their children to help them make healthy choices for a bright future.
