Chromebook Charge Reference Sheet

Power Issue (Chromebook won’t charge or turn on): No Charge

Keyboard Issues (Key(s) stop working): No Charge

Trackpad Issues (Cursor does not appear or is frozen): No Charge

Cracked / Damaged Screen: $45 (If the screen is not working properly, e.g. screen not turning on, color distortion, or lines appearing across the screen, this is considered to be manufacturer defect and students will not be charged for the repair unless it is determined the chromebook has been damaged.)

Missing / Broken Key(s): $45 (If a student returns an unbroken key(s), they will not be charged for its repair.)

Missing / Damaged Spine Cover: $15 (If a student returns an unbroken spine cover, it will be reattached and the student will not be charged for the repair.)

Miscellaneous / Intentional Damages: TBD (Miscellaneous / Intentional Damages will be evaluated by the IT department and appropriate charges will be issued based on the location of the damage and the corresponding parts that need to be repaired/replaced.)

Lost / Damaged Beyond Repair Chromebook: $200 (A chromebook is considered damaged beyond repair if it cannot be restored to an acceptable state to be checked out the next school year. The condition of a chromebook will be subject to evaluation by the IT department.)

Lost Charger: $17

Lost / Damaged Case: $20

Sticker / Graffiti Removal: $15 (Students are expected to return chromebooks free of stickers or graffiti.) *Any damages not listed here will be subject to evaluation by
